Senior Chef de Partie will provide excellent hospitality service by leading shifts to prepare and cook food to the highest of standards for our Guests.
- Overseeing of the food preparation and cooking at all workstations in An Dining Restaurant or our FoodWork central kitchen, throughout each rostered shift.
- Leading and directing Chef de Partie staff on shift.
- Maintaining communication with other Chefs on food orders.
- Preparing dishes according to our concept.
- Maintaining a sanitary and neatly arranged workstation.
- Assisting with special orders and requests from Guests.
- Creating ‘specials’ with the Head Chef.
- Communicating with the service team regarding orders and issues.
- Maintaining a high standard of personal hygiene and cleanliness.
- Assisting with ordering and stocktaking.
- Occasional washing up and other general kitchen tasks.
- Over 3 years experience working as a Chef de Partie.
- Experience in a leadership role.
- Passionate about hospitality service.
- Understands how a successful kitchen operates.
- Professional attitude with courteous and friendly manner.
- Punctual and reliable individual.
- Excellent communication skills and a cohesive team player.
- Intermediate level English or Japanese.
- High level of attention to detail.
Pay Rate
- ¥2,300 - ¥2,450 per hour.
- 25% overtime allowance for hours worked above prescribed working hours for the month.
- 25% late night allowance for work between 10pm and 5am.
Employment Period
- 16 November 2026 - 30 March OR 7 April 2027
- Fully paid training at the start of the season.
- Opportunity to extend contract.
Hours
- Generally 5 days per week, around 40 hours per week.
- Hours will vary through the season depending on business levels with less hours at the start and end of the season (more riding time!) and occasional overtime work during peak periods
Lift Passes
- A Free Grand Hirafu season pass with an option of upgrading to All Mountain at an additional cost.
- If you do not need a pass, you will be offered a bonus payment.
Travel Support Bonus
- ¥50,000 travel cost support bonus upon contract completion for new staff or ¥80,000 for returning staff.
Subsidised Accommodation and Staff Shuttle
- Subsidised staff accommodation available in Hirafu or Kutchan with all utilities, basic supplies and WiFi included.
- For staff based in Kutchan, there is a free staff shuttle to transport to and from work in Hirafu.
- Staff accommodation is available until the end of the resort season. Plus, enjoy a rent-free week after your contract ends to relax and pack up at your own pace.
